Just got back.... - 02/04/07 10:39 AM

... from hearing StephenM52 play at the 'coffee house' ... he was playing his new T2, and it sounded really good ... He was kind enough to let me attempt a tune ... I liked the key feel ... real nice board ...
Good job Steve and Thanks ...

It was great to see you Tony, I enjoyed having you and Lydia come to visit.
Tony did a nice rendition of one of my favorites " Blue Bossa"

Don't let T fool you he's a very
capable musician

Here's the first of 2 photos. I left my
digital camera at home. These were taken
with the cell phone camera and lighting conditons where I set up were poor.

Hey Steve-

What KB stand are you using? How much bounce do you experience while playing? Is there a point where if you really start playing aggressively it gets unstable?

What PA is that behind you?

Thanks

Bill, I use a Quik Lok 2 tier stand, most of the time the 2nd tier is removed. I find it very solid and even playing aggressively it's very stable.

The speakers you see are the logitech z5500 sats. Tony originally came up with
the idea of mounting the sats on a
piece of wood 48 " long by 6 " wide. He mounted his on front of his keyboard stand.
I did too originally, then I found and
ordered a clamp/mount from Music 123
to attach to the oak piece of wood.
I then just attach the mount with
the speakers to a Quik Lok tripod type stand.

Steve-

Do you have any other/better pictures of your PA set up?

Does this rig work best in smaller venues or does it perform well in larger/louder places?

Thanks-

Bill I don't have any photos of that particular set up. When a get a few minutes, I'll take some photos and get them to you.

I'm playing usually smaller venues up to 125 people and it has more than enough power. I can't comment on larger noisy venues. But I gotta say that with all that use the z5500s someone could probably comment on that. Gary Diamond being one of those.

Stephen, are you trying to break up the group? That don't look like "The Feeble Winds" to Me!

(Looking good!)

Thanks. Java Madness is a great location on the waterfront at a Marina in one of the resort areas of RI. It's a fun low key gig.
