Korg i-series - 01/23/02 01:50 PM

Can anyone tell me which of these discontinued korg models are the newest and/or the best? I have found a "new" refurbished with warranty IS50 for $599.
I have run across IS35 for around $1100.
Much difference here? Thanks,
Bill

Bill
I have an iS40 for sale. Email me for details. As you would expect, priced right in the middle of those 2! And, probably better than the iS35.

The is40 is a step down from the is35. It has no vocal harmonizer, and fewer registrations..... but it does have stereo audio in's.
BTW:
The last is35's we sold went out for $799.

Hello Bill E.

I don't know if you care but I just wanted to mention that
from KORG i series only i2, i3 and i30 has style edit capability.
It means that you can modify preset styles and make your own.

I also think that i30 would be the best choise because it is very powerfull
and you can find it cheap.

Regards

Thanks guys---my only reason for considering that is50 is the low price. I was thinking that I might wait for next generation of arrangers before spending the big bucks and just get something very affordable for NOW, I'm ready to be playing.

The iS35/40/50 was not bad - I think the piano sound was as good as the PA80, but the polyhony was only 32 voice. Some of the better sounds are layered, so that means 16 voices for everything !!! AAAAGH !
I wouldn't pay a lot for an iS50, but if you get a sweet deal .... there are a lot worse boards to play!
