Compliments to Simon Williams - 11/18/01 12:51 PM

I have had a number of "free" styles made available by Simon Williams at his SVP World site for some time.

http://svpworld.com/svpstyles.htm

I had not tried many of them with my PSR540 since I could only load 3 styles into user memory and once I found a few styles that I liked, I kept them in user memory and wasn't keen on trying out all the various disk-based versions available via internet downloads. However, with the PSR2000, it is a simple matter to put in a floppy disk of styles, see what is there, and try them out. To my great pleasant surprise, I have found virtually all of the styles Simon has made available freely from his web site terrific additions to the preset styles that came with the PSR2000. For the music I like to play, they fit just fine and sound marvelous on the 2000. I recommend you try some out if you haven't already. You will also find these in the PSR-Styles group on Yahoo. Simon also has commercial styles available. I don't have any of those disks, but when my kids ask for Christmas suggestions, I now have some ideas to give them!

Hi Joe
If you like Simon's free downloads, you will LOVE his commercial style disks! I should know, I have them all!

I have visited Simon Williams site MANY times - it is one of the best keyboard sites out there. I was very impressed with his reviews and informative updates about new Yamaha products, including that of the Yamaha PSR1000 and PSR2000.

His site is awesome! I do not have an MIDI keyboard, but I have been looking into one for a long time now. His reviews really help me because the reviews are based off of his playing experience with the actual keyboard. These reviews help me get an inside look of Yamaha's keyboards, not only does he point out the good things about the keyboard, but he also points out the bad things as well. It's rare to find a site with such unique information!

Well, enjoy your styles from Simon and have fun!
Ryan
