Ronnie Milsap's vocal effects - 02/18/06 06:20 AM

I was listening to a song of his recently. It might have been "I'm A Stand By My Woman Man" because I had decided to learn that song. Anyway, I was listening to the CD and trying to figure out what the studio had done. It might be a chorus effect. Any ideas what he might have used? Actually, the question is what effect could a gigger like us use to approximate the sound? (Seeing as how a studio might just layer two tracks but you can't do that live.)

If it sounds like a dumb post, it probably is.

Actually you CAN layer your own voice if you use a vocal harmonizer. It's one of the settings on most of them.
BTW, I'll be leaving for Longview, TX at about 5. I start at 7, but there is FOOD first.
Give me a call if you still want to go.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that in settings. Never used it. I'll try it.

I will call you if I am going with you. If you don't hear from me, I have a firm-feeling hot babe lined up.

Bring her along. I'll get her all worked up and you can finish it off.
