PSR-9000 on TV Show - 08/15/01 09:41 PM

Hi all,
Just watched the new Wayne Brady Show (the guy from Who's line is it anyway)on ABC.
They did an improvisation with five singers and one guy accompanied them on a PSR-9000
Looks like slowy but surely Arranger KB's do make their way into the music scene ...

Hi Eric. I think they might have used an arranger on Whose line is it anyway also. Might have been a VA7. I seem to remember reading from an earlier post that they were doing a skit and the tempo was set way to fast and they all wound up laughing like crazy while the poor keyboard player desperately tried to adjust the tempo. Oh well, the show must go on.

Hi guys,
a sad lesson I have learned from the show business is that whenever the brand of anything (like a keyboard) is clearly visible, that means that the manufacturer has paid for that kind of (more or less occult) advertising.

Hi Dreamer
I could see the KB only for a couple of seconds, without seeing any Yamaha Logo.
Only the people who know what a 9000 looks like were able to identify it. I don't think Yamaha paid for it.

Hi Folks

Talking about arranger keyboards on a aconcert,
some years ago the Canadian singer Leonard Cohen
stood all alone with a Technics KN800 in the
middle of the consert.
(Please forgive me if I remember the KN model wrong,
but it was a Technics)
Played and did the song as a "one man band".
I remember that was very impressed when I could
see this on the TV.
I don't remember which song at the moment, but on the
album he gave out about that time, have a song with a
identic pattern/style from the KN used at the song.
