Simple MIDI Software?

I am looking for some simple shareware/freeware midi software to edit properties (instrument, volume, balance, name, etc) of an already created midi file. I do not have any experience working with MIDI on a PC, just on my keyboard. Hopefully something that works well for my Yamaha PSR 740. Can anyone please help me out?

Hi Nick. You might want to check out Jazz++. It's a "freeware" midi sequencer with some audio capabilities.
