SK880 - 12/10/01 05:40 PM

Hi,
I bought a SK880 from Europe (Denmark) and the power supply on this operates on 220V. At the moment, I am using a power converter 220V to 110V, but it is making some noise. I have the following questions:

1. Is it possible to change its power supply to 110V?

2. I am also interested to buy a arranger for this model. Does GEM provide an arranger for SK880?

Thanks, hr

Hello,

1) the first question is I do not know. I recommend that you post your question in the General Music forum of the same site Chris@GEM goes there a lot and I am sure he can help you or steer you to the right direction.

2) What do you mean by arranger? Sk880 is already an arranger keyboard. Do you mean buying additional styles for it?

I am assuming he means a rack model, and I am not aware of any rackmodels by GEM.

Re: SK880 - 12/11/01 05:37 AM

and as far as the power conversion.

I should be possible by changing out the internal powersupply of the SK880.
Getting a 110V Powersupply and finding somebocy to do this is the next challenge.

Since GEM has limited service in the US.
Try to contact General Music in Italy for the part and then find somebody who is good with a solderingiron to change it out.

You can contact our service department at (630) 766 8230 and order a replacement power supply for your SK880. Our service centre keeps most parts and accessories in stock at all times. They can also reccommend a local service centre if you don't feel up to the job yourself.
