PEAVEY XM-4 Powered PA mixer amp - 04/12/02 12:00 PM

Hi Friends,
Anybody know what this is worth?
It's a 4 chanel Powered PA amp.
Hi/low impedence mic inputs each chanel.
It also has Aux. inputs for tape or CD.
Has output for monitor.
I believe the output is 250 Watts.
On the 4th chanel one of the Eq knobs & shaft got broke off! ( Still usable)
The Unit works great! I just don't need it anymore!
Thanks Nobby

With the broken shaft, you will probably not get much more than $100 - $125. It is a very useful little mixer. Not much power. If I recall correctly it is 250 watts into 2 ohms, so that's about 60 or so into 8 ohms.
I would keep it as a backup or extra mixer for little "gigs" (sorry Uncle Dave).
Generally used gear will bring around 50% of new price, unless it's really close to new. In this case you must deduct for the boo-boo.

Hold on now, kids ....... The XM4 is only 150watts at 4 ohms, and is NOT designed to run at 2 ohms. It's probably over 5 years old, and only listed at $399 when it was new. That unit (if perfect) would only be worth $75-100 bucks today. (tops)

Well I was close. I used to have one and remembered it wasn't very powerful.

FYI, There's one for sale on Harmony Central for $150. It's in "good" shape.
