Home studio choices: Monitors, headphones

I'm in the process of assembling a "small-time" home studio. Any recommendations on active monitors ($500-$600/pair range) and headphones ($60-$100 range)? Thanks in advance.

monitors: I listened to Event PS6 and I liked them. So far so good.

headphones: AKG k240. But those are for monitoring and not for recording vocals. The reason for that because they are semi-open, so I think they leak some sound. But they are very comfortable to the ears.
