Caribbean party at retirement home - 06/02/05 07:00 AM

This month is Caribbean month at two retirement homes I go to. I'm kind of weak on this music, but I love it.

I know:

Banana Boat Song
Yellow Bird
I Can See Clearly Now
You Can Get it If You Really Want (Jimmy Cliff)
Don't Worry About a Thing (Marley)
Could This Be Love (Marley)

What other songs would you do that are suitable for senior citizens.

On my Yamaha Music Finder, I came across "Calypso Sweetheart" for the Calypso style, but I couldn't find any reference to this song on Google. Anyone know a good tune for the Yamaha's Tyros/PSR3000 Calypso style?

Are there any must know Jimmy Buffet songs?

Thanks in advance.

Margaritaville for sure... plus 'Cheeseburger', 'Come Monday', '5 o'clock Somewhere'. Put on your Hawiian shirt and have a ball.

Jimmy Buffet:

Margaritaville
A Pirate Looks At Forty (if you want something mellow)... uh, never mind, it says "I pissed it away so fast"... maybe that isn't kosher
Hey Good Lookin' (remake of Hank Williams' song)
Why Don't We Get Drunk And Screw (Sorry, couln't resist)

JB's "Pina Colada" would be good.
Also, you can do lots of songs and use a calypso beat.
Speaking of which, Garth Brooks' "Two Pina Colados" would work great.
"Some Beach" by Blake Shelton.
"Stand By Me", "My Girl" all have that "flavor".

Thanks for all advice! I'm going to go to the library (high speed internet) to download some MP3s of some of the abovementioned songs that I am not familiar with.
