DanO1,
The Falls are really nice. Actually I grew up literally right across the street from Canada. My family has a house on Lake Erie and actually live in Erie PA. Canada was an everyday thing for me in the summer when I was younger. Canada is a great place to visit too. I also would suggest taking the family up to Quebec.

From Niagara Falls you can easily go to places like Kingston or Gananoque and take a boat to visit the Thousand Islands, along the St. Lawrence river. There is an authentic european castle, rebuilt stone after stone, to visit on the american side of the river. Great overall experience!
If you can, take a room overlooking the falls to watch them at night, flooded with colored lights.
I love Canada!

Gotta echo dreamer's input. I lived in southern Ontario for a short time, and Niagra Falls is very cool, no pun intended!!
You want amusement parks??Wonderworld in Toronto is something else.
Plus...Your buck buys a lot more up here. The exchange rate is great for you folks states side, but the reverse sucks for us up here. Oh well sh*t happens.
Hey why not come out to the west coast. Britsh Columbia's got more mountains and lakes than you could ever want for, which reminds me, I'm heading up for a 5 days
skiing in a couple of weeks. Bitchin' surfing at Long Beach, Vancouver Island.
Wherever ya go....have a good one...and by the by...thanx for the insight into NAMM.
Looks like ya had a great time.
Gotta go..wax my skis

Dano.. C.mon up some time... Upstate NY is hard to beat in the warmer seasons.. Great views and scenery , ( love it when the Eagles nest at the Delaware in winter ) whitewater rafting, diving ( the Delaware has several spots over 50 feet deep up here ) hiking, hunting, fishing to name a few things to do..( pretty cool too in winter if you like to ski or ice fish )..You want good fish ? Hmmmm.. We have great Walleye, Salmon, Steelhead and Rainbow / Brook / Brown trout up here ..Delicious. Many people who have never been here are surprised to learn how different upstate is from the city area. I'm located only 120 miles northwest of the city, but it's like another world. Mountains, lakes, and streams aplenty, and very isolated areas that are wild and sparsely populated. I live in a town of less than 400, and it is well over 25 square miles in area. It is also one of the more populous towns in the area. Niagara Falls is on the very western end of the state. It's breathtaking..Nothing like it I've ever seen anywhere else.

Donny,
Did you take the pic? Thanks for sharing that breath taking shot. Beautiful ! I definitely will have to 'get a way from it all' and checkout the falls ! THANKS. - Scott

from the classic tune:
Let's Get Away From it All

Let's go again to Niag'ra
This time we'll look at the Fall.
Let's leave our hut, dear,
Get out of our rut, dear,
Let's get away from it all.

Scott,

Thats a pic off a post card of the falls. But I'll tell ya this...... Nothing is better then seeing the Falls up close or better yet take a trip on the "Maid of The Mist" boat ride below the falls ( have to wear a raincoat for that too )

Nice pics of the falls guys! Yeah the falls are really beautiful.. The pictures can only show so much. It's really something that needs to be seen up close. Every time I go back home to visit, I go up to the falls. It's nice living so close and the trip isn't long at all. If you really want to get the best view of the falls take the boat ride...... It'll be a ride you'll never forget..

A piece of advice:
when you go on the maid of the mist, don't take expensive video equipment with you, unless it's absolutely water proof (and I mean it!)
