I have been guilty of the same transgression. In retrospect, it would have been more tactful to not post the price on the forum, but to rather state, "Email me if you're interested."

I kind of like to see the for sale stuff, particularly from individuals. Dan is almost an individual.

I'm one of the new members here, and I don't understand what the problem is about having something or offer something for sale here.

What's the big deal, is this forum going to go bankrupt or something? is it prohibited to do that?

Guys, please don't take it the wrong way but, who gets hurt if a member advertises once in a while.

The administrators have asked that NO selling be done in the discussion forums. I agree with the policy, and think everyone should do business in the proper areas. There is a forum dedicated to buying & selling - let's use it. It helps keep the discussions less biased.

I am happy that Uncle Dave brought to my attention the area to sell used gear . I sincerely did not know of this .
I have been involved with this forum for a long time . I do not recall ever reading or receiving email about this policy by the administrator . I will use the 4 sale section nor problem . dano
