Downgrading my Arranger keyboard

Downgrading my Arranger keyboard - 01/10/07 06:06 PM

Since i have curently KORG Triton Studio and Roland VA76.

I'm thinking of downgrading sooner or later regarding my Roland VA76.
For these reasons:

1) i don't need 76 keys anymore(the keyboard takes to much space in my room, and I only needed 76 keys when recording drums, and piano)
2)Save some money

I'm thinking going from VA76 to VA7... beacause I'm used to VA series now, i don't wanna let go of those sounds and styles.. if I go for G series I'll loose many sounds and styles, if i gor G70 or higher, I'll miss those old Styles that are on Zip disk...

Since I use mostly My KORG Triton, and only use VA76 for live perfomances, and some other stuff where arrangers are usefull.

I will also have it hooked up to my Triton(Triton midi out to arranger Midi in) so i can use those sounds along with Triton's sounds.

Will i be able to save some money if I "downgrade" ? or does anyone have other suggestion to what keyboard to swith VA76 with?
I basicaly need the other arranger keyboard that will take VA76's place, to have all the VA76 styles, and sounds, less keys.
the rest I don't care...
or maybe i should buy a Roland sound module, and some other arranger keyboard close to VA76's styles ?

Vadim,
You can buy a new roland E50 or E60. I have all the VA76 styles from the zip disk which can be copied right onto a compact flash card. The sounds and styles will be the same but you also get a better operating system and a lot more features for much less money.

Do E50 or E60 have tone maps 4,3,2, and 1 ?

Vadim,

The E-50 / 60 do not have tone maps. They have an "extended" sound set that has the VA sounds. The extended sound banks are seen on the multiple pages - simple.
