Roland G 70 - SRX and Styles - 09/05/05 05:29 AM

Hi everyone!

Now I'm a new G 70 owner - despite everyone is talking about new Tyros 2. I'm very happy with the new instrument, the sounds are really awesome and so are the styles.

But I miss some sounds. For example a good trumpet sound (for those German and Austrian Polkas and Waltz) lacks. Some electric guitar sounds could be a bit more heavier. Is there a SRX board with a representative collection of a wide range of sounds that covers my needs? I need the boards for gigs at marriages, parties and German "Schützenfeste" - something like little "Oktoberfest" and I have to play nearly every kind of music.

Another question: Do you know a resource for G70-Styles on the net - perhaps converted Yamaha files? I also need a good german march rhythm (on the G70 there's only a US march).

Greetings from Germany
Michael

Try http://www.keyboardforum.nl/stylesroland.php
or http://www.task4.biz/klanten/RolandE600/download.htm
Don't have a G70 myself but I suppose you can load Roland styles from previous keyboards.

Does anyone know if (and if so where) you can download styles from G70 converted to Korg Pa1X?

Try the SRX-07 "Ultimate Keys"

I have that in my G-70 currently and it adds lots of BIG FAT Basses, Pianos, E Pianos, Synths, Guitars and More.

See if you can audition one?
