How do I bootup into SAFE MODE?
I'm still fighting the W32 Klez virus!!
I downloaded the Syntec Removal Program.
It deleted & repaired some of the files, but not all! It said to reboot in SAFE MODE and
run the scan again. But I'm thick headed, and
don't know how to get it booted in SAFE MODE!
It produced a log that said that rhere was one infected file in the windows system, that
it could neiether delete or repair! It will have to be deleted manualy!
If you can tell me how to do this it would be great!
Nobby.

PS: Even though I have deleted all the address I can fine on my PC. It is still sending e-mails out that are being returned to me by the hundreds.
I get e-mails from you guys that I know you never sent. They have enormus atachments.
that would lookup most CPs!

hey. im so sorry for you. while its booting, hold down the shift key, or F8, or both shift keys, depending on your OS. try 'em all till it works. you should get a list of choices, safe mode, command prompt, stepbystep confirmation, etc. or it will load straight into safe mode. good luck!! Z

Nobby,
If you are running either Windows ME, or Windows XP, you will have to remove the file from the Restore directory.
If you need to know how, let me know.

Hi Zack & DonM,
I believe I'm clean now.
I've ran a scan on it twice in the last 2 hrs
and it was clean!
It's done some damage! I'm going to have to
reload some files. All in all I came out better than I thought I would.
But only with you guys faithful help.
I couldn't have did it with you.
Thanks!!
Nobby
