Loading Styles - 01/21/00 01:04 PM

I have some converted Solton styles that I've tried to load into my PSR740. Most of the time I get disk error. The disks are good and the files are not corrupted. Usually I can manage to load one style on one of the three user styles. Sometimes it loads on 161 other times it will load only on 163. I heard it was something about the Solton styles being larger than the Yamaha styles. Anyone know the answer to this one?

The 740 will give you an error message whenever there is not enough room for a style. The practical work around is to clear user styles 2&3 and always load into user style 1.

The size suggestions sounds right to me. Solton styles can be quite large, larger than 50kB. I can load them in my PSR8k. With Solton styles it holds fewer. Also, the PSR8k has a listen from disk feature that works only up to 40k. I guess Yamaha has not really designed for large styles. I hope the 9000 can handle the Solton styles.
