Irish Songs for Saint Patrick's day - 03/02/03 06:39 AM
I was booked for some gigs where I promised to do lots of Irish tunes. I think that I only have ten in my repertoire. I have to increase it quick or I'm in trouble. Here's what I have:
1. Clancy Lowered The Boom (Tarantella)
2. Danny Boy (Organ Ballad)
3. Harrigan (Scottish Reel)
4. I’m Looking Over a Four Leaf Clover (Jazz Trio)
5. Irish Washerwoman (Jig)
6. MacNamara’s Band (6-8 March)
7. Mary’s a Grand Old Name (Custom Style: Mary)
8. Molly Malone
9. My Wild Irish Rose (Musette)
10. Peg ‘O My Heart (PSR 740 Swing)
11. Rose of Tralee (Power Styles: Slow Waltz)
12. Sailor’s Hornpipe (Scottish Reel)
13. Girl I Left Behind Me (Power Styles: Celidh)
14. Toora loora loora (English Ballad)
15. Wearin’ Of the Green (Power Styles Singer Songwriter)
16. When Irish Eyes are Smiling (Ober Waltz)
17. Who Threw the Overalls in Mistress Murphy’s Chowder (Custom Style: Mrs. Murphy)
Does anyone know any upbeat Irish songs that the elderly would like? Do you have midis and lyrics?
Thank you so much if you can help me. I have a book of Irish tunes, but I don't know which ones are popular and which ones are obscure. I could also use midis to hear how they sound.
