Keyboard Stands for Tall Players?

Keyboard Stands for Tall Players? - 12/12/00 07:08 AM

Does anyone know of any keyboard stands that are made for taller individuals. I am 6'5" and have not found one stand that has worked for me. All X stands usually max out at around 35-39" which is still to short and also are not very sturdy at that range. The Ultimate column stand would meet the height requirement but it has absolutely no room for pedals. I need a stand that is in the mid 40's to suit my needs. Does anyone have any suggestions.

hi,
check out the quik loc SL 2, you can make it as high as you want 1 tier or two.

Alex,
I am also 6'5" and have had the same problem when I want to stand. A lot of the time I sit at a high stool just to be comfortable.
I use a Quicklock when I do stand, but it isn't quite as stable as I would prefer, although I haven't tried the one Donny pictured.
I have a lot of parts for the old Ultimate Support stands that are made of tubing, elbows, collars, etc. A great stand can be made of these, but it isn't the quickest to assemble and disassemble so I leave it at my "sit-down" job.

Hi Dan,

Yes this quik Lok WS550 is a great stand, folds up nice and small too, thinking of getting one myself. Do you sell them at your store?

Donny
