Now it can...

Digital Ear [ http://digitalear.iwarp.com ] is an advanced piece of
software that can analyze a recorded sound (e.g. your singing voice, or
a musical instrument) and convert it into a standard MIDI file!

That file can be send directly to any synthesizer or can be imported to your
favorite sequencer for mixing with other tracks, or further processing.

Any vibrato, tremolo, pitch-bend, or portamento effects of your recorded
sound will be faithfully converted and reproduced into any voice of your
synthesizer.

Digital Ear has received very good reviews from Future Music magazine,
Sonic Spot, ZD-Net and Yamaha itself.

Hi Digi,

Your posting might cause some people thinking you offer a piece of software that is able to convert 'any' piece of music to standard midifile.
A tiny 'warning' to the readers :
DigiEar cannot convert 'complex' music to midi. (All kinds of instruments or voices playing together)

You need music played by ONE MONOPHONE instrument. e.g. flute, oboe, trumpet, bass etc. so no guitars playing a chord !

kind regards,

Roel
