PSR 3K retiring? - 04/21/05 08:19 AM

I went to the music store the other day and I was told that PSR 3K is being dicontinued. Is this true? If so what is replacing it?

I think the saleman or store owner has no idea what they are talking about.I doubt they really know 3k.they must have confused with dgx 3** series or others.

No it was PSR 3K that he looked up on his system. They only had 2 left (one on the floor) and there was a note in their system that its been discontinued and they will not be ordering more. I was surprized myself.

Maybe they goofed up and should have keyed in Tyros. Tyros II is coming this year, I think.

Maybe this means the STORE is discontinueing and will not be ordering more. By the time they sell the 2 they have a new model will be out.

The PSR3000 is still current and let's not start rumors that it has been discontinued. I just ordered 8 more from Yamaha. I would be pretty sure that there is still another year left to the lifespan of the Yamaha PSR3000.

I am sorry I did not mean to start any roumours. I was just trying to confirm if what I had head was correct info. Thank you guys for the responses. I was wanting to upgrade from 2K to 3K and when I heard this I put my brakes on to see if the next generation might be better for me. I think I will stick with purchasing 3K
