Yamaha 9000 users - a question - 10/15/01 01:46 PM

Hi,

I don't own a Yamaha 9000 either PSR or PRO version; however, I try to stay informed of capabilities of various instruments.
I was intrigued to receive an e-mail from Synthplanet, talking about a promotional bundle being shipped with either flavor of 9000, which includes, among other things,
"Latin Styles with live-percussion (sample-loops)"
Does the PSR-9000/PRO have the capability to incorporate sampled loops into the style play? If so, how does it handle pitch-shifting caused by changes of tempo? If not, does anyone know what functionality this refers to?

Regards,
Alex

Alex,

the loops are more or less a small custom percussion set (like a normal sampled custom voice) which will be utilized by the Latin styles. There is no problem with temp and pitch shifting.
