problem upgrading E80 v. 1.06 - 08/20/07 11:53 PM

Hi everyone,
a new problem has turned up, maybe someone could help me.
I've just upgraded the E80 to version 1.06. Everything works well except the factory user program set. A lot of programs won't work. I get the message - user program not found -. My own set from which I made a backup on the internal memory has the same problem. I also saved my own set to external memory and this seemed to be okay. I followed the step by step instructions from rolandkeyboardclub.com. Does anyone knows what Idid wrong.

Greetings Johan

If you have a USB cable you can connect the E-80 to your computer and then put all your old User Programs into the folder called "Put New User Programs Here" in the internal solid state disk (corresponding to the E-80 internal memory). Once you are done, you have to press "disconnect" on the touch screen and then the "User Programs" button (on the right of the display) and select "Internal Memory". The E-80 should display a message saying "Recovering database..." and start working (maybe for 20 or 30 minutes, so don't worry...) If everything goes well, the new User Programs will be transferred inside the "User Programs" folder and registered within the new database; this way they will be available to you again.

Thanks for your reply. I solved the problem by formatting the internal memory and installed the factory data. Now it works well.
