SCSI cable from PSR-9000 - 02/07/00 09:31 AM

Please help...I just installed hard drive into the 9000 and it works so well..thanks to Brian Turner of MICROFUSION in Port Elizabeth. My big question......Can I connect a SCSI cable to the PC (let us presume I have a SCSI card in the PC) in order to transfer data to a program like Cakewalk or VISA VERSA.??Will the two hard drives talk to each other? Any comments will be appreciated...Regards Hein

Hello Heim,

it is difficult question, I would recommend to call Yamaha hotline.
I only know, we had problems if we connected some devices over two SCSI adaptors:
device <-> SCSI adaptor <-> SCSI adaptor <-> SCSI device.
The first adaptor is in the PSR 9000, the second would be your SCSI card. If the PSR 9000 can communicate with SCSI adaptor (not directly SCSI device), then I would not see any other problems.
As I wrote, the best choice is to ask by the Yamaha hotline.

Hello Hein,

on the last page of the PDF documentation are the contact addresses (with phone numbers) for many countries. You should pick up your nearest distributor and call him. I can only tell the phone number for Germany, but it probably will not help you.
