What? ..no Vocalizer for the PA60?

What? ..no Vocalizer for the PA60? - 08/06/02 07:51 PM

Folks:
After looking (high and Low) for this feature on the PA60's specs (please, correct me if I am wrong), I could not find this feature anywhere. Not even as an option! Could this be a misprint? or have they "castrated" this model so it would be more affordable and compete with the Y2K (which has a vocalizer)?
Oh well! …one less board for me to consider in my "desperate" journey to a new Plank.
Or am I off on this? If so, I stand corrected.

Mario,
No PA60 for you my friend! there is no way to put the vocalizer board in a PA60. A hard drive can be installed but with a special hard disk mounting kit and a video out board can be installed, but not the same one used in the PA80. Yes, this is one of the reasons why this keyboard can be sold at $1299.00. It's still a good board even without the vocal accessory. Honestly, with about 25 PA80's i've sold, only one vocal board has been sold! The PA60 and PA80 are still two of the finer boards out right now at reasonable prices.

Thanks George:
I hear the Technics line is also "suffering" on this department (lack of quality) for both the KN6500/7000. That leaves me with a choice between two planks:
TYROS vs. XD9
(provided Ketron corrects the Chord harmony "bug").
Who would it be? who would it be?
decisions.....decisions!!

If you're in a hurry, you'd better get Ketron. Tyros is not yet available, and not yet fully developed.
