YST-MS50 YSTMS50 problem - 11/01/03 08:58 PM
I bought this system from Buy.com at an excellent price. It broke after 3 weeks. Haven't reported it until now. Buy.com would not exchange, only 2 week exchange for clearance items. Their in repair right now. Just thought you guys should know. I wouldn't count on these as my exclusive amplification.

Is there no warranty from the manufacturer itself on the speakers ?

Oh yes! The system is being fixed under warranty. I was told the wait would be at least 4 weeks plus any wait for parts. I found another new unit on Ebay for $50 including shipping. I purchased this as a backup.

Just curious what went wrong with your speakers.

They simply stopped getting power during one of my jobs. The repair facility replaced a faulty wire.
Incidentally, I just got my $50 rebate check from Buy.com for these speakers.

I had the same problem with my YSTMS50. The speakers just stopped working. I got the same answer from Buy.com. I had AJ at Keyboard City repair them for a nominal cost. Seems like there was a wire that came off a connection and had to be re-soldered. Bob
