PSR9000 - how to format hard disk PROPERLY? - 03/20/00 11:51 AM

> Hi All,
> Just put a 1.4G hard disk straight from my old laptop PC into my 9000. Went to format it, the format took only a second, and the 9000 said there was only 77MB free. Copied some style disks onto it and restored them OK, no problem. Switched 9000 off then on again an hour later. 9000 said HD was not formatted! Mystified, formatted HD again, still only took a second, and the style files are back. What's happening? How do I format this disk PROPERLY and get the full capacity? Put it back in the PC and do it?

Sounds like your H.D. is partitioned..Did you try formatting the drive before you removed it from your laptop.? Was the drive compressed?
