Hi Folks, I'm thinking of buying a Yamaha 1500 on eBay. The seller lives in the States and I'm wondering if the board will operate OK in Australia. I'm not sure if they have universal voltages etc. Anyone able to give me some sort of idea?

It uses a Yamaha PA-300 power adapter. So you'd need to factor in buying the Australian 220 volt version to power the keyboard. Most music stores in your area should be able to quote you the price for this.
