SD1. Output for microphone?

The manual says that the main microphone has a seperate audio out. it doesn't say what it is?? I'm assuming output 3?

Is there any kind of set up I have to do first before it works?

Also, when recording the audio files to link with midi, is this a difficult thing to do? The manual has my head spinning.

For one example, can I have the midi file playing and record parts where I am singing back up sections during the measures where they occur? A lot of the midi files already have the vocalizer set to those parts of the song a a counterpoint so a second person could sing it next to your lead, but I'm a one man band so I would have to record it first and have it linked.

where is it? I don't want to have the microphone coming through the same channel as the SD1.

There is a line out on the back of the Sd1 .
