I'm sending $1,000.00 to the family of a person who died during a police incident in each state.

That won't make things much better, but at least those grieving will know someone is thinking about them.

Russ it WILL make things better, because your charity gives people hope and a renewed believe in humanity and will inspire others. Bless you for doing this

A wonderful gesture Russ to let them know we are thinking about them

If it would substantially ease the problem, I'd give 1/2 my net worth in a second.

It's more than just a gesture, I'm impressed.

Philanthropy is such a wonderful thing. Russ is an example we should be proud of.

I have been a Windows software user for 30 years and as a Software Engineer I have criticism over the years for Bill Gates. But now that has changed and he is the sort of billionaire that others should emulate.

The massive amount of money he has made from Microsoft is now helping to benefit the world. https://www.gatesfoundation.org

Me, too, Nigel. I met him here in Lexington in the 60's. The plant manager at the IBM headquarters was the bishop of the Mormon church, which my family attended (I ended my relationship in the late 60's).

I use Microsoft on the research, statistics end and Mac for the graphics end. In my mind, Mac is superior, but with limited support.

Thought Bill was a hustler, who intentionally built things into his systems that would allow data capture and exploitation.

But, man, what a significant player in world health today.

Update: Of the 50 checks sent to families, 36 were sent to African American families. I had only the stipulation that they went to families who lost a member in a police action.

Sad
