California Fire Storm

California Fire Storm - 11/19/18 08:41 PM

my daughter's family escaped the Camp Fire on Nov 8 with literally the clothes on their backs. They had only a few minutes to load their 6 children, two dogs, and baskets of laundry into their trucks before racing down the mountain road with flames jumping through the treetops, powered by 65 mph winds.

They are staying at our primitive cabin in the Mojave outside of Barstow, CA, as they try to start their lives over. Their home was not insured. In addition to his construction and logging equipment, my son in law lost 6 guitars and a new Marshall amp.

The go fund me drive is going well, and the grandkids seem happy in their new environment. They are 500 miles south from the fires, and the 25,000 displaced residents of Paradise and Concow.

So very sad. They were lucky to get out with their lives.
