I managed to catch Stevie Winwood on Austin City Limits last night.
I've always admired his versatility. He was belting out of a beautiful old B3 with a leslie right along side, while he covered the bass with his feet.....and he's still got great guitar chops, not to mention his amazing set of pipes.....still got that terrific voice.

What a great show to be able to see. I've always loved Stevie's playing and singing over the years from Traffic to Blind Faith through to his solo work like "Arc Of The Diver". Truly an amazing performer.

I missed this last night but I did see him on Austin City Limits previously. Last year I think so it might have been a repeat. It was a great show when I saw him though. I remember him from the Spencer Davis Group too.

I saw that and it was great. That guy can really sing. He also does not look his age.

Gimme Some Lovin', if he wrote that, he's made some money!

Wasn't he like a teenager when he started playing for Spencer Davis Group? I don't think he wrote "Gimme Some Lovin'". I love his Traffic work. "Empty Pages" is a great tune and "John Barley Corn Must Die", truly great music.
