Band video clip - 06/10/05 02:49 PM

Our Show Band's website now has video clips loaded, plus some stills of various sets, if interested:
http://www.waybacks.ca

We've actually got about a week & a half free, so I'm taking my T3 in for repairs on Monday, hopefully, won't be tied up too long.
Have a great weekend folks...

Sorry, I couldn't download the clips...

Nevertheless, if I'll travel to America once a time...against all resistances...

...then your band(s) will be one station of my sight-seeing time table...

...either live...

...or in your rehearsal room...

...in order to what will be most convenient...

Re: Band video clip - 06/11/05 08:32 AM

I'm glad you all enjoyed the clip(s).
Dreamer...I'm guessing in the neighbourhood of 2 grand in costumes. Some stuff is relatively easy to put together, other stuff, ie: Girls British outfits, Pimp Costumes, Fat Bastard...are a little more involved to put together or round up.
The Fat Bastard costume that I wear is obviosly an inflatable outfit, with a small fan built into it. With everything sealed up (neck, arms, and legs) it's fully inflated in about 20 seconds....but Man..is it hot in there!!
All the credit towards production has to go to our drummer Paul, and his wife (the taller of the two women), Lisa.
It's a scripted production so new material, or even slight changes to the format, are quite involved, and have to be painstakingly worked out, so everything flows smoothly.
As Bill, our very talented guitarist put it in a recent TV promo spot, after the opening chord, there's very little downtime.

We're fortunate also to have one of the finest bass players (IMO), around, in Dan. Our little powerhouse, Carrie, is a bundle of energy, with an incredible set of pipes, in addition to Lisa's.

Sheriff....unfortunately....if you make a trip to America, you won't catch us....we're based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
Thanx again people for your kind comments, which I'll pass along to all the Waybacks personnel.

Gotta run..."Consenting Adults" gig tonight.
Keep Rockin'...and have fun doin' it!!

Okay, then I'll repeat the same procedure when I'm making a trip to Canada once a time. I really would like to meet your band live in action. I hope that you're still playing then when I'm coming...

Sheriff,
I bet that if you go to Victoria you will want to stay there forever. I was there five years ago and it's one of the most beautiful places I have seen... especially if you like flowers.

shboom,

Nice work. I know how much work goes into those numbers. Who did you get to video that performance and how much did it cost you? Nice stuff.

Regards,
Al

Re: Band video clip - 06/15/05 10:04 AM

SHBOOM,
I will be in Victoria in August. I have a 55 year H S Class reunion on August 5th and will head up that way after that, probably the 6th and a couple few days of the following week. Have to be back home on the 15th.
I will prolly leave the big new motorhome in Anacortes and drive up in our sports car we tow as the Ferry cost is prohibitive even though they just cut the fare in half from Anacortes to stimulate tourism.
What and where is your schedule during that time slot?
Bebop.

Re: Band video clip - 06/15/05 10:32 AM

As of today: June15/05

Aug. 12th & 13th (Private Gig) Bedwell Harbour Pender Island

A couple of our members are taking some vacation time (myself included) in August so it's a relatively quiet month.
Sorry I can't elaborate any more than that & of course, things change from one week to the next.
Bill...give me a call when you get in: Cell 886-9573 I could use your e-mail??

Al...Around $500(guesstimate) for the video work.
