Well, here we are well into mosquito season and apart from their usual peskiness, the threat of West Nile Virus lurks as well.

Why does the world need mosquitos?

Would eradicating the whole species really upset the balance of nature or just upset environmentalists and repellent manufacturers?

Last night about a mile from our house they found a dead bird that checked positive with West Nile and then they found 2 postivie mosquitos. They are going house to house now warning people of the danger, in South San Jose, CA

I don't think it is possible to illiminate all mosquitos out there. We've been trying for a few hundred years now...

But feel free to get outside and kill as many as you find!!!
Everybody!!!!! C'mon! Go get 'em!!!

You can't eliminate them, that's the Louisiana State Bird and as such it is a protected species.

They've got some serious mosquitos up in Manitoba....
...I think you folks call them BIRDS!!
...
...and how about them "noseeums"? Now those are vicious little critters.
