PA500 MIDI sequencing question

I'm trying to record the bassline for the song "Slipping Into Darkness". It goes from G one step down to F (G G F). However, when I play back the edited style, the keyboard doesn't go down from G to F, it jumps up to the F above the G. How can I get the PA500 to playback what I recorded?
