Don't know. Seems Don is the only one using the board (and very well too). The reviews are not all that inspiring and I'd feel the sounds would be too thin in comparison to what I'm used to. It makes more sense to have a backup, but the 4X is of interest to me again. I have a lot of jobs coming up 1st quarter. I am always paranoid about my 3X puking and no backup is unwise.

That's why I recorded every song I have in my repertoire took a few months as a backing tracks so you can sing on top of the track as a back up in case the kb goes south. using a laptop or even your cell phone will do the trick in a big way.Its still you playing & singing.

Good tip, for sure. It's a constant battle of working on new songs, arranger play, but maybe I'll do what you suggested. It just take a lot of time to do all this and I'm pretty busy playing right now.

How's the new board? You keeping it? I'm still on the hunt. I passed up a great ebay ea-7 yesterday went for $660 + $50. Probably should've grabbed it. But past Roland stuff hasn't excited me, at all.

Take your time set a goal of recording 5-10 songs each week...
here a tip..record and sing too BUT do not plug the mic in just RECORD sing and play the song as if the mic was plugged in
to give you a live feel and timing to your backing track..

I check in daily to see what I can learn ... mostly uninterested in what's posted as I don't use Yamaha or Korg boards. Must say that Donny has a great idea here, thanks Donny!
