Need Help Roland GR50 Malfunctioning, Ideas?

Hello, my Roland GR50 is locking up when turned on and occasionally emitted high pitched noises. I've reinitialised several times and it works for a moment then reverts to all this crazy behavior. I'm guessing possibly the battery running low however I beleive it should display that. Anyone else have this happen? I've had it happen before but usually clearing everything out did the job. What gives? Anyone's help appreciated.
