Yamaha Psr-s500 - 01/22/08 11:32 AM

Hi, new to the board. I play for my church choir and i need just a simple keyboard that i can play a song with and be accompanied by just your basic drumbeat. I'm not looking for anything fancy or complicated at least to me, like the Motif-xs6 or anything in that category because i'm not an arranger/writer. I was told that this entry level Psr-s500 may be the type of keyboard i should purchase.

Any response or comments would truly be helpful. Thanking you in advance.

If 61 light touch keys work for you..it should be a fine keyboard for your needs..Maybe check out the next model up..S-700..it will offer you some optional advantages like polyphony and some better sounds that are not on the S-500

You should probably checkout the Arranger Keyboard forums on this BBS as they have a lot of postings related to PSR series keyboards.
