yamaha psr 6300 keyboard

Hi everyone!

Christmas is coming up and I am need your help. I have hard time deciding on which one to buy, the Yamaha psr 6300 keyboard or Yamaha psr 740 Keyboard? I really don't know much about keyboard. But I'd like to buy the better one between the two keyboards. Which one is the most recent one between the two keyboards? I have looked in the Yamaha website, but it doesn't furnished information about Yamaha psr 6300 keyboard, so that's why I am here. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The PSR 740 is much newer and much better. It was discontinued not quite 2 years ago (I think).

the psr6300 was before Yamaha and all the other companys went to sampled sound technology. The PSR6300 was using FM digital sounds like in the DX9 keyboards from the early 80's. The PSR740 is definetely the better keyboard for all features and sounds. The new keyboard for Yamaha which replaced the PSR740 about a year ago is the PSR2000 and is a large upgrade from the PSR740 in terms of features, improved styles and sounds, and a much better front panel layout and screen.

I am a PSR2k user. My best would be the PSR 2000. Its much better than the 740 The vocal harmony is simply out of the world - Its a must have stuff.
