how do i get softwear to record from my key board i am new to midi and dont know anything about which softwear to use or how to connect the programs up to my keyboard
any help would be great

All you need is a midi cable and a music software (cakewalk or cubase). You should also have a sound card installed in you pc.
Connect the midi cable to the soundcard (joystick/midi port) you should make sure that the keyboards midi out is connected to the pc's midi in and the kybrds mid in to the pc's midi out. You will find the midi in/out for the pc on the cable.
