Yamaha v50 rhythm sequences

I can load individual sequences into each of the eight slots for performance in any order from any floppy; but when I try to load my rhythm sequences, each one I load will only load into slot one even if I set up for slot two,three, etc. Am I doing something wrong; is it a technical computer problem that can be repaired; or is it inherent to the V50's program? The manual does not help here.
Anyone know what's wrong and what I can do?
