DX7 -- Getting banks from PC into keyboard

How do I get the bank of sounds from my PC
into my DX7? I have the midi cables all
connected and the software running. I know
there's a sequence of keystrokes on the #8
function button, but am I missing something?

I keep getting the "midi buffer full" error.

Help ... my internal sounds were erased, and
I want them back!

I think there has to be a message under that #8 Function, 'sys info avail'; you use the +yes/-no keys to toggle between 'avail' and 'unavail'? Make sure memory protect is off too. What software? Can you control the transfer rate with it, like a packet delay? I have found the interface to be so slow that you can have a file of multiple single programs (as opposed to a bank) and watch the programs scroll by and stop it when you reach the one you want! So it for sure sounds like the computer needs to slow down the transfer.I have a MDF2 data filer...I load from the computer to it and from there to my DX7 cos I'm to lazy to haul it upstairs or the computer down.mn
