CS6x/r arpeggiator problem

The CS6 is a great sounding machine; however, when in use the arpeggiator hesitates something like a 32nd of a note from note on events. This is definitely a design flaw as EVERY other CS6 user will attest. Please, Yamaha, do not allow this error to ruin an otherwise superb synth. Please do whatever it takes to correct this bug. As it stands, the arpeggiator is quite useless in most realtime applications, and I'm quite amazed that it passed the testing dept.. Keep up the good work..

Hello.........That's sad to hear. I have a CS2x and have never noticed that problem. Maybe I'll wait a while........I was thinking of upgrading to the CS6x. The arpeggiator is one of my favorite toys!!

I have heard Yamaha are currently working on the arpeggiator problem and say they will release a fix in around 10 days time.

Yes Yamaha is working on a fix for the delay. Let's hope it doesn't take too long

They have the update and instructions for installing. It requires an 8mb smartmedia card as the file is big.

PS IT works!!!

Further testing has revealed that it fixes most of the arps but some still have the 32nd note delay. Most confusing. Perhaps it's an interim fix and there will be another update.

I have updated the CS6R and the fix Is not a fix. Some arps still delay which sucks since I use It In real time.
