KN7000 Touch sensitvity - 08/22/21 04:35 AM

I am back,
This time it is MY problem which, no doubt you will be able to put me right !
recently i have noticed very strong touch sensitvity (response), mainly in piano and or strings.
I have accessed Program menus for an answer but changing T/S to on or off, and reducing the range to 0, even sounds stronger.
Have I missed something ?
Hope the experts can help, as I am very conscious of an inconsistant sound volume when I am playing which is not to my liking.

Well Gee! Surprised no one has made a suggestion. Have you tried the simple thought of INITIALIZE? See page 197 in your manual. It might just solve your problem. If you have already done this you didn't state so.

Thanks kitkat, very quiet here now.
After I posted, I thought about that, and I initialised (spelling )! for a solution.
It did not change, but I new some of my past saved registrations did not behave the same,(I think)? so I searched for a solution to check those settings. Still searching!
Maybe it is just me.
i have always been conscious of this from a piano background and later organ playing which has an expression pedal to create the same effect. Still searching for perfection !!

Hi Ray,

general dynamics settings are adjusted in the Overall Touch Sensitivity menu.

Thanks Leon, for your reply,
I have already been there, and could not make any difference. but just reading the whole page makes me realise I had not been doing it right, I will look at it again, after the closing ceremony of the "Para" Games, and report back.
If I find a solution, I will then be puzzled as to why the noticable change? (maybe me again, but wait...)
AAHHH !!! the challenges we/us musicians have to endure???
Thanks for your interest.

Ray, I purposefully used the word in caps, INITIALIZE because it it the correct word to look up in your manual and is on the keyboard. I do know the difference.

Kitkat, no big deal, I like to stir from time to time, and see what comes to the surface!!
been there again and found some old settings which do not seem to respond as much, but have same OTS settings.
maybe me again ?
that is probably why I like the touch on the Genos (can't afford it at the moment)!!

Good luck, Ray. Knowing you, you will get to the bottom of the issue. There is another guru or two that will likely help you. Surprised they haven't posted. Wheeeeeeeeeere's Bill!!!
