PLEASE HELP, MY KN5000 SCREEN DISPLAY GETTING DARK

I need help please with suggestion or advice regarding the Screen Display on my KN5000 which is increasingly getting darker. I don't know if there is a replaceable bulb in the display compartment. However much I move or adjust the slider, the display doesn't get any brighter or clearer. Infact, I find that the display gets increasingly darker - with the information no longer easily readable.

I looked through the manual, but there is really not very much helpful information on this. It is becoming difficult for me to read the information displayed on the screen when I am playing - which I find very frustrating. I want to be able, if possible, to get the screen display as bright as it used to be - or at least much brighter and clearer than it is currently.

I should be very grateful for any help with suggestions on what I can do to solve this disturbing problem.

Sounds like an inverter fault

www.wdgreenhill.com may be able to help; presumably the contrast button is not helping...
