NEW POWER SUPPLY FOR KN7000 - 08/26/13 07:17 AM

Does anyone know the value of a new power supply for a KN7000? It is: AC220-240V for Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

I'm afraid that a new power supply, if available as service part, will be expensive. I assume you need a new one to replace a defective one? Why not try to get it repaired? Looking to the schematics it should not be too difficult for a electronic engineer to repair. These are linear power supplies, not switched mode, with 'easy to replace' components. I advice you to go to a qualified engineer.

Hi Bert,

You misunderstood me. I HAVE ONE that I am not using. It is new and came out of a new KN7000 my uncle bought years ago and he needed it to be a power supply for the United States. The technician was able to get the last one for the U.S. that Panasonic had. When he installed the new power supply, he gave the one he took out to my uncle. I ended up with the KN7000 after my uncle passed away and I have the power supply that is designed for Europe.

So Americans moving to Europe who play Technics KN7000 keyboards might be interested...or a European who's KN7000 power supply has bust...the expression 'needle in a haystack' comes to mind Mark but you might be able to get a value from www.wdgreenhill.com who are the sole suppliers of Technics keyboards parts around the UK and I would guess Europe too...
