Technics Styles

Technics Styles - 01/20/11 07:57 PM

I have uploaded a bunch of Technic Styles, mostly made for the N-7000, although some may be originally made for the KN3/5000. I'm not sure of quality as I no longer have a Technics. I suspect some tweeking will be needed.

Many of these styles were converted by Brian Miles from various Yamaha keyboards, and may not be available for very long.

( Now the file attachment system is working here you can also download them from the links in the postings below in this thread )

Hope it's of some use smirk

Hi,

this is right!
Styles of the KN 3000/5000 cannot be returned in the KN 7000 precisely because the KN 7000 disposes of samples which did not exist with the older models yet.
Only the sound NX is shifted with many sounds around an octave which must be regulated then by hand with the KN 7000.

Actually any midi recorded on any midi device weather it be a keyboard or otherwise, will need to be adjusted, unless it is loaded and played on the exact same device and model as it was recorded on. Same with songs.

So if you have a 7000, and load 3/5000 etc. styles, obviously they will need tweaking.

That's why they are called arrangers... smirk

This link Technics Styles to the above styles may be more reliable

The 'More Mix .zip' are just more Technic styles to try.

Just testing the forum file attachment feature. There is a limit of 5MB per file. If they are bigger zips then try to break them into 2 smaller zips. There is also a 2 file limit per posting.

Re: Technics Styles - 01/22/11 12:13 PM

Way cool Nigel. I don't know if there is a limit of 5MB per post, or 5MB per upload...anyway, I broke down the original 4 shared styles so that they should be available right here.
Let's see what happens

Re: Technics Styles - 01/22/11 12:16 PM

It appears to be one upload per post @ 5MB.
Vol1 seem to upload fine, now I'll try Vol2

Re: Technics Styles - 01/22/11 12:29 PM

Yes, it worked!

So the final verdict is, we can upload:

Two Files Per Individual Post @ a Max Of 5.72 MB Total

This is way cool, and with that, I've uploaded the final Vol3 Technics Styles. Again these are the same styles at 4 shared originally posted above. IMO, this is an easier way to share.

Thanks Nigel...another great feature!

That's great Larry. And the best thing is they won't expire ... well not until I do lol ... and will remain here for people to get in the future.

I currently don't have my Technics, so I'm interested...are the styles any good? Are they for the 7000 only? Need tweaking, or just not very good. Honest opinions welcomed.

Patience Dear Larry - downloading is one thing; unzipping and transferring to the keyboard quite another time consumimg operation even if most of us are retired....I don't know how I found the time to go to work etc etc

Thanks Larry for your uploads. I have just purchased a KN2600 that is coming in next week so I am back in the Technics family again. I recall that it will play the KN7000 styles so I have downloaded them. Thank you very kindly for your generosity. Bebop

Hi Larry.
First chance I've had today to transfer some of the files to the KN7 and the one's I have done so far are very good and usable.
I seem to be about 1-10th of the way through them. I will do the rest in small sections it is quite time consuming.
