KN5000 for sale

KN5000 for sale - 08/10/09 12:04 PM

An old friend on mine wants to sell her Technics KN5000. I helped her purchase it back when it was a current model. She played it very little over the years, and it left her house only a few times when she went to play for residents at a nearby nursing home.
Anyone care to make an offer?
I would check it out for you to make certain it is 100 percent o.k.
Thanks,
DonM

Hello Don,

I have some of our Club Members coming to my home tomorrow for a 'session' and I will tell them about this keyboard. However, without giving the lady's full home address, can you advise whether it is in the U.K. and name the County in case someone is interested and wants to collect it.

Please use my email address so we can read your reply tomorrow.

Thanks!

Don lives in Los Angeles Audrey...but then you know the Americans - they don't think a world exists outside their own country...chuckle...

Hi Roger and Audrey,
Yes, and we all speak English, too, as well, also.
I note that Don is one who does put USA on his profile, which helps the rest of us enormously.
Ray
PS I still do not know how to put a smiley on my posts. Any help?

Hey Don, I hadn't heard that you had moved from Benton, Louisiana to Los Angeles, California.
How come Roger knows that and you didn't tell the rest of us?????

Now I could have sworn that LA stands for Los Angeles...ah well there you go...it's a big big country over there having flown over it to meet you Bebop.

Hey Rog, thanks for clarifying that. I was thinking about fueling up the motorhome and heading down to Los Angeles 400 miles to hear Don play some of that great country music on his keyboard guitars.
When you coming over to visit us again. Do I have to throw another Jam to get you over here?
Best to you and yours,
Bebop

Bebop, I'm still in LA (Louisiana, that is).
You can come to our Arranger Jam in January though!
Maybe I'll but the KN5000 myself. I played one for a couple of years when they were current.
I previously had KN800, 1000 and 2000. The 2000 was WAY ahead of its time.
When Yamaha came out with a microphone input and harmonizer on the PSR8000, I jumped ship.
It was way ahead of its time also.
I think both the PSR8000 and the KN2000 are true classic arrangers. Not that much is better on the new ones, just bells and whistles and faster, larger storage options.

Hi Roger,
I posted a reply on the wrong topic, and this is off topic for those outside the "real world",(UK and OZ).
The first test was a moral victory in any case, so can we say two up and one to go, or are you going to play hard-ball. Best of luck with Flinty and Peto.
