screen scratch help please

HI all.
I have a kn6500 and have scatched the screen.
I tried to polish it out and made it worse!!
Could any body advise how I access the rear of the screen and possibly get a piece plastic to replace it.
Or has anybdy have any better ideas.
or is it to complicated to touch and I should live with it.

Hi there Joe

This happened to me many years ago, when I had the KN5000. I had to send away for another screen and when it arrived my son was able to put it in. By using a knife around the edge of the screen, he had no difficulty in getting the old one out, because it was only stuck in.

Hello,
you might try jewellers rouge, this is often used to polish glass to remove scratches.
