kn 5000 7000 compatibility

I have tried to find this information...but are songs saved in the sequencer in a Kn 5000 available to be played 'as is' on a 7000?

Welcome aboard , Sean! Yes, songs saved from the 5000 can be played in both the 6000/6500 series and the 7000. They cannot, however, be played in reverse order (that is from the 6000 or 7000 down to an earlier keyboard. Hope this helps.

Hi Sean,

Yes your sequencer files from the KN5000 will play on the KN7000 (and KN6000/6500) but may sound quite different as the styles on the later KN's are not the same. If you have saved your sequences from the 5000 using styles from the Composer Memory or Custom Styles you should not have this problem. Altenatively you can download the 5000 styles in 7000 format from the Technics site and make appropriate adjustments in your 7000.
