General Query - 02/18/05 11:41 PM

Good morning (UK 07:37 GMT),

I've just played and recorded a piece called 'Mexican Madness' (copy availible if you e-mail me MP3 or 6K+) composed / arranged by a Peter Wastall. It's a pretty basic piece but works with two voices not playing the same notes at the same time.

Does anybody have any information on Mr Wastall. I'd like to try and find more of his work. Considering the score is dated 1979, it is possible he's no longer with us.

Regards from us all,

Mark

Hi Mark
I'm afraid Peter is no longer with us. He was a Royal Marine musician and on leaving for 'civvy street' he became a teacher of wind instruments. More details can be found on

Thank you John,

Sorry to hear the news; although I only play keyboard and recorder his work is something of an inspiration. He'll be sadly missed.
